Occupancy is granted by the USFS via a Special Use Permit (SUP) where the buyer owns the home but not the land. A nominal annual fee is paid to the USFS and ownership is in perpetuity. Enjoy solitude while being less than 1/2 mile from Highway 7 with easy access to Estes Park (15-20 minutes) and Boulder-Longmont. Opportunities to buy a cabin on USFS land are extremely rare.
