My Story

I offer a unique macro and micro perspective of foothill and mountain communities in Jefferson, Clear Creek, Gilpin and Boulder Counties. As a life-long resident, and through my unique experiences, I know the West Metro Area by heart.

As an empty nester today, I live in Evergreen in Clear Creek County (the unincorporated town spans Jefferson and Clear Creek Counties). As a child I attended summer camp and had friends and family in the area and always felt a deep connection here. I know the mountain roads and dispersed neighborhoods of Evergreen and surrounding areas and love selling mountain homes!

Through 5th grade, my family lived in West Denver/Wheat Ridge before moving to Boulder where I ultimately graduated from Fairview High School and CU (ENVD, Urban Planning) and raised my children, who are 4th generation Boulderites. Nobody knows Boulder or Boulder County better than I do!

My lifetime of experience in the West Metro Area includes studying urban planning at CU with the burgeoning Boulder/Denver Metro Area as our case study, and I managed several region- and county-wide campaigns and know the region down to the precinct level. I have lived, loved, worked and played in the West Metro Area my whole life, with family, friends and outdoor adventures across the region.

I have deep ties to the mountain communities, too. My ex-husband/children's father grew up in Nederland and Gold Hill. My mother-in-law, Liz Caile, had a column in the Mountain Ear, the local newspaper serving Peak to Peak communities, for 20 years. Her husband, Skip Green, was a Nederland native, beloved mountain school bus driver, off-grid pioneer, researcher in partnership with the CU Alpine Research Station (which they lived near), and member of Rocky Mountain Rescue. Liz’s father, Harold Walton, a CU professor of chemistry from Oxford, was a pioneering local mountaineer and one of the original founders of Rocky Mountain Rescue. My son’s memories of his grandparent’s house include a bear in the kitchen helping himself to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and rides in the litter behind the snowmobile.

Today, I love driving from Evergreen to Boulder by way of Black Hawk, Rollinsville, Nederland and down Boulder Canyon. You can catch me enjoying a sunset pizza and a hazy at Toss in Rollinsville. It takes ½ hour longer than taking Highway 93, but it’s beautiful and worth it.

I’ve recently had some listings in the Southwest Metro Area in Monument, Larkspur and Castle Rock. I’ve enjoyed exploring this part of the Front Range, the landscape is mesmerizing, where vast expanses of rolling plains and equestrian estates meet the foothills and form fantastic limestone spires and bluffs. Castle Rock is a beautiful, lively (not so) little town.

Whether you’ve narrowed your search down to a specific city or neighborhood, or you’re still exploring the wider west metro region, I provide deep local knowledge and experience to help you find your dream home and negotiate the best deal.
